OffCourtz uses cutting-edge artificial intelligence to provide precise and reliable shot tracking. The AI compares player movements with professional strokes, analyzing body angles, rotations and other key metrics. The AI model consistently improves with new data to ensure the best accuracy.

Currently: Serve, Forehand, Single-handed Backhand, Two-handed Backhand, Forehand Volley, Backhand Volley, and Overhead Smash. We're adding more shot types regularly based on user feedback. Each shot type has its own specialized analysis model.

Yes! OffCourtz allows users to both upload pre-recorded tennis shot videos from their phone library or record a tennis shot video directly within the app.

The AI performs best when the video is recorded from a side view, with the hitting side facing the camera (camera aligned with the player). Make sure the full body and racket are visible in the frame. Using the back camera is recommended. Record one shot at a time.

Like all AI systems, OffCourtz can sometimes make mistakes or encounter issues during an analysis, due to detection challenges. We are constantly improving our systems to provide the best detection and results possible, but the systems are not perfect and errors can occur.

Every shot is analysed based on 20+ technical parameters. Every parameter is set by looking at the biomechanical ranges of the top players. The analysis of your shot is being compared to those optimal ranges. Based on the deviation from that range a score is calculated for each parameter. For example if your knee bend is 10% off the range, your score on that parameter will be 90. The total score is the average of all parameter scores.

We are constantly working to improve our AI model, our analyses and our overlays. The AI needs to calculate where on the screen to place the overlays based on the analysis and in case the player can improve a technical parameter, the AI needs to show the player how they should have performed. Sometimes the AI doesn't depict this as it should and as we would like yet, but with more training data and experience the model will get better in placing the overlays. We are updating and improving the type of overlays as well for an optimal user experience.
